The Cabin 2010

It's been quit the year for animal sightings up here.

From buffalo to Elk to Moose to Bears, etc.....We have been having a great time relaxing in this beautiful place. The girls have enjoyed 4 wheeling, floating the river, fishing, and trips into Yellowstone. We've been here 3 weeks and Mickey is heading up tonight for 10 more days of fun. We are having an "unofficial" Fife reunion (long story) and a Richards semi-kinda reunion....

Kassi has begun to master the green 4wheeler and is itching to advance to the gray one. (that won't be happening any time soon) although she is doing very well. If we could only teach her how to ride a bike....She has continued to enjoy catching her fish and eating them and has had a fun time playing with her cousins.

Kyndl has grown a lot this summer. She has conquered her fear of the boat and actually jumped right into a raft with Kylie and Kassi to float down from there Uncle Toms cabin the first day we were here. She also loves to fish and to my surprise was able to reel in her own fish all the way by herself! I was very impressed to say the least. She also lovvvvesss her worms, she loves to take them out talk to them, explaining to them that they will be ok when they get put on the hook and eaten by a fish. She is a very caring girl. She was a alittle bit in shock when we caught the fish them "cleaned" them out. Apparently she thought we caught them and kept them in a tank. She handled the truth fairly well.

Kylie continues to remind me of myself.
She's always looking for the next adventure up here and will try almost anything once. She has enjoyed her cousins as well. She continues to ride the 4wheelers, fish and added kayaking to her resume. She has done really well and mastering her balance. Frog creek still remains one of her favorite places to go as she asks over and over and over everyday. Just a few more years and she'll be good to go on her own and I cant wait for that time....
She has also been a great help to me this summer.

That's about it for now, till Mickey comes. I'm sure I'll have a story or 2 once his 10 days are up.

IT'S A BOY!!!!

Yes, you heard right. Mickey and I are having a boy. It came as a bit of a surprise but if we did have to have a surprise this is a good one! Mickey is sooo excited, I am too. When the ultrasound tech announced it was a boy Mickey kinda started yelling(although he says he wasn't, but he was),"Are you SERIOUS! are you SERIOUS!" then he shed a few tears. So here we go again....It's been 5 years since we've had a baby so this should be quit a ride!

Kassi's 7th Birthday!

HOLY COW!!

Ok I'm a loser its been since Dec. that I posted anything! Time flys! Lets recap that last 4 months....
We had Christmas(of course) did the traditional nativity pageant at Grandma and Grandpa Richards home and got the Christmas jammies. We also took our annual trip to the Belagio to see the floral display and eat lunch.
Kassi turned 7. We didn't celebrate her party till March, that's what happens when your born the day after Christmas. She had a slumber party then went to breakfast at the 50's Diner in their Jammie's and finally hit Red Rock for a hike and finished with decorating pillow cases.( Yes I'm the best party mom in the world, I know....)
Kassi also played indoor soccer for the first time she did well. She wouldn't go in the goal at all because she's the goalie for her outdoor team. So she kept that information to herself so she could play on the field more. She also just had her first game of the season and did good. They put her in goal and she was probably shot on 13 times and only missed 1. (the other one was scored by her teammate) oh well they can't all be experts at 7 :)... The games are great we really enjoy them.
Kylie played as well and her team did great. I think they got second? She also played in a 3v3 tournament and they won 1st place. Soccer is her life! She has recently taken on being goalie for her team. She was not scored on once in indoor (except when she had to play goalie against her own team in one game) she tells me its cause she wanted them to win?hmmm
She played her first outdoor goalie game in a tournament and was scored on twice out of 3 games thats not so bad. One of them was PK (penalty kick) this was because one of her players touched the ball in the goal box. Thus it was her facing a free kick with no defenders she blocked the kick but the girl got a foot on it and was able to kick it back in. That sucked but Kylie came back later in the game and kicked a corner kick and scored! She puts this crazy spin on it and it wrapped around the goal bar and it went write in. Thats kinda crazy for a 9yr.
Kyndl is in ballet and is dainty as anything. She informed me the other day she doesn't want to be a mommy anymore when she grows up she wants to be a "store worker" Oh such hi hopes....So we had to get her the cash register for Easter, after all if thats what she wants to be we will produce the fastest and best cashier in America! (We know its a phase, we hope)....Back to ballet she is doing great! a little bouncy but thats our girl. She has a recital coming up in June. It will be her debut! She will also be graduating from Pre-school! we can't believe it. Time Flys.
Kelly just finished the yearbook for Kylie and Kassi's school. That was a journey. She's also on PTA and in Mia Maids. She's also been busy with her vinyl business and finally got a website up. its http://www.kellycreativecuts.com She was able to do some words for the school that turned out great and orders seem to keep her busy. So needless to say that's why there hasn't been a lot of blogging.
Mickey is continuing school for Safety Management and working hard. He's umpiring softball and playing. He's really ready to go fishing I hear it about every week. 2 more months! and cabin here we come!
That's about it. Hope everyone is well!
